"A few years ago Dave came
over to my studio and bought 7 of my fine art photographs to decorate his
house with.
All were large 20 x 24 inch prints of progressive wild imagery that I was
experimenting with at the time.
Then I found out that I was one of his favourite photographers (along with
Larry Clark and Diane Arbus). I actually read this in an interview he did.
So I asked him to model for me.
Some of the photos you see here are the culmination of that photo shoot between
Dave and I.
I don't think he has ever modelled for another fine art photographer in "art
photos" such as these. It was a long 5-hour shoot and he was as gracious
and as personable as anyone could have asked for. No "rock star" attitude
here, folks.
His ability to "project" attitude through the lens is quite magnificent and
has since been unequalled."
