Dave's cousin.

He wrote with (and without) Dave the Movies & Crap columns, some interviews and other articles for Bikini magazine as well as a shortlived movie column in Raygun magazine. They often appeared in both magazines as "The Navarro Bros.", even though they are only cousins.
