1993 - 1994

Deconstruction was a one-album project that featured Dave Navarro and Eric Avery. Michael Murphy joined them as drummer for the album.

Both, Dave and Eric sang, but Eric sang lead on the bulk of songs. They split in 1994.

One reason was that they were only allowed to release one album under the name "Deconstruction", because there was already a band bearing that name.

The other reason was touring. Dave wanted to tour and Eric did not. They released their self-titled album in 1994, that featured beautiful songs as "Iris" and "Big Sur", and even made a video for L.A. Song.
